What might become possible if we stopped measuring the value of our gifts only by what we receive in return?

What if reciprocity was about tending the living web that holds us all?

Within our communities, we witness so many people creating meaningful and necessary work, holding spaces, tending land, teaching, creating, caring, building community and bringing new possibilities into being.

And yet, too often, those doing the tending become depleted themselves, financially, emotionally, mentally or physically.

So we began asking:

How can we continue tending what matters while also allowing ourselves to be tended?

Exploring another way of living and leading

The Heart of Reciprocity is a 90-minute experiential online gathering with Ruth Hoey and Molly-Anne Chinner, exploring feminine leadership, sacred exchange, receptivity and our place within a wider living web.

When we speak of feminine leadership, we aren't speaking about women versus men. We are exploring qualities available to all of us — receptivity, listening, intuition, relationship, care, collaboration, interdependence and regeneration — held alongside healthy action, structure, discernment, boundaries and direction.

What might become possible if we brought these qualities into greater balance — within ourselves, our relationships, our work and communities, and in how we relate to the Earth and future generations?

Nothing flourishes alone

Inspired in part by the wisdom shared in Robin Wall Kimmerer's Braiding Sweetgrass, we'll explore reciprocity as something greater than a direct exchange between two people.

How do we offer our gifts without continually depleting ourselves?

How do we become more available to receive?

How do we honour the care and unseen labour that sustains our communities?

And how might money, resources, knowledge, visibility, opportunity and care circulate in ways that allow more of the web to flourish?

Through embodied grounding, guided meditation and visioning, collective enquiry, shared reflection, sound and Molly-Anne's Blue Rose Voice Activation, this won't simply be a conversation about these ideas.

It is an invitation to experience them.

To remember.
To listen.
To share.
To express.
And to consider what each of us might carry back into the living web beyond our gathering.
