Introductory Gathering
You’re warmly invited to an intimate Community Singing Circle held in the ReNurture room — a space to come together, ground, and reconnect with the natural medicine of the voice.
This community singing circle is an invitation to raise our voices and drop into our hearts — to come together in a small, intimate space where sound becomes a bridge back to ourselves and one another.
It’s a space to be in community, to play, to explore, and to gently come home to our authentic expression. A place where there is no performance, no pressure, and no need to be anything other than who you are. Whether your voice feels strong, shaky, quiet, or unsure, it is welcome here.
I created this gathering because I know, deeply, the power of singing. I know what can happen when we come together and allow our voices to meet — how something softens, how walls begin to dissolve, how the heart opens and the nervous system settles. I also know the fear many of us carry around being heard, because I’ve been there too. This circle is born from both that tenderness and that knowing.
For many of us, using our voice can feel vulnerable. We may carry stories like “I can’t sing,” “I’m too shy,” or “my voice isn’t good enough.” I resonate deeply with this. For a long time, I too felt afraid to open my voice and sing in front of — or even with — others. And yet, through my own journey, I’ve experienced just how powerful and healing it can be to come together in community, to sound, to be witnessed, and to support one another.
This circle is not about performance or singing “well.” It’s about remembering that our voices belong.
I truly believe that we can all sing. We can all hum. We can all tone. And through these simple acts, we can access profound benefits — for our nervous system, our emotional wellbeing, and our sense of connection. Singing together has been used across cultures for centuries as a way to regulate the body, strengthen the breath, foster belonging, and nourish the soul.
Over 90 minutes, we will gently arrive together, explore grounding and vocal activation practices, and learn a couple of simple, heart-led communal songs. Everything is invitational. You are always encouraged to participate in a way that feels safe and authentic for you.
This is a mixed-gender gathering, open to all voices, and intentionally kept small (maximum 8 people) to honour intimacy, safety, and shared presence.
