Many people come to sound healing because they are experiencing:
Stress and overwhelm
Difficulty switching off
Poor sleep
Mental fatigue
Emotional heaviness
Burnout
Anxiety and nervous system dysregulation
A desire to reconnect with themselves
Sound healing offers an opportunity to slow down, rest deeply and allow the body and mind to enter a more restorative state.
What Is Sound Healing?
Sound healing is an ancient practice that uses vibration, frequency and intentional sound to support wellbeing.
During a session, instruments such as gongs, crystal singing bowls, drums, chimes and voice create an immersive soundscape designed to encourage deep relaxation and support the body's natural ability to restore balance.
Many people describe feeling deeply rested, calmer, lighter, more present and more connected to themselves after a session.
While experiences vary from person to person, sound healing may support emotional wellbeing, relaxation, mindfulness and nervous system regulation.
The ReNurture Approach
More Than Just A Sound Bath
At ReNurture, sound healing is rarely offered in isolation. Sessions are thoughtfully woven withmindfulness, breathwork, meditation, nervous system awareness and intentional space-holding to create experiences that feel safe, nurturing and deeply restorative.
Drawing upon a range of instruments including gong, crystal singing bowls, chimes, drum, tuning forks, percussion and voice, each journey is intuitively crafted to support the needs of those present.
Each intentional sound, every vibration and each pause in between is a sacred moment that allows you to slow down and receive. Through sound, space is created for balance to be restored, clarity to emerge, and the body to remember its natural state of harmony.
Whether you attend a public event, private session or workplace experience, the intention remains the same: To create a space where you can slow down, soften, reconnect and remember what it feels like to truly rest.

What Can I Expect During a Sound Healing Session?
A sound healing session, sometimes called a sound bath or sound journey, is an opportunity to slow down, rest and reconnect with yourself.
Sessions typically begin with a gentle breathing, mindfulness or relaxation practice to help you settle. You'll then be invited to lie down or sit comfortably while being immersed in the sounds and vibrations of instruments such as gongs, crystal singing bowls, drum, chimes and voice.
There is nothing you need to do other than relax and receive.
Everyone's experience is unique. You may feel deeply relaxed, experience moments of clarity, notice emotions arising, receive insights or simply enjoy a rare opportunity to rest. Some people remain awake throughout, while others drift into a dreamlike state or fall asleep. All experiences are welcome.
You may notice physical sensations such as warmth, tingling or the gentle vibration of the instruments within the body. As the mind quietens, some people report feeling more grounded, present and connected to themselves.
At the end of the session, you'll be gently guided back to full awareness and given time to integrate your experience before returning to the rest of your day.

Sound healing is generally suitable for people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience. No special skills are required, simply come as you are and allow yourself to rest, listen and receive.
Over the years, I have shared sound healing experiences with a diverse range of people, including children, families, expectant parents, older adults, workplace teams, festival-goers and those exploring wellbeing for the very first time.
While sound healing is accessible to many, there are some circumstances where additional care may be needed. If you have any health concerns or your circumstances have recently changed, please refer to the FAQ on precautions and contraindications or get in touch before booking.
Most public sound journeys are designed for adults aged 18+, however I also offer family sessions, children's experiences and bespoke sound healing for younger participants. Parental or guardian consent is required for anyone under the age of 18.

Before a sound healing session:
I encourage you to wear comfortable layered clothing as your body temperature may fluctuate.
You may be required to bring your own yoga mat so please check the specifics for the event you have booked. You may also wish to bring your own blanket and eye mask.
You may also wish to bring water and a journal to record any reflections after the session.
Specific requirements may vary depending on the venue, so please check the event details before attending.
Arrive on time for registration and to allow for a comfortable set up. Note that latecomers may not be permitted access as this may cause disruption to the session.
Think about an intention you might want to set before the session.
You will be required to turn your phone off during the session. Please notify others should they need to be aware.

After a sound healing session, it's helpful to give yourself a little time to integrate the experience. Many people find it beneficial to drink water, rest, move gently, spend time in nature or journal any thoughts and reflections that arise.
Everyone's experience is unique, so simply listen to your body and offer yourself whatever feels most nourishing and supportive.
-
No experience is necessary. Sound healing is suitable for both beginners and those who attend regularly. There is nothing you need to learn, achieve or do during a session other than get comfortable, relax and receive the sounds and vibrations.
Whether it's your first sound journey or your fiftieth, you are very welcome.
-
Do not touch the instruments, even if you are super curious. If you damage something you are responsible for replacing it.
-
Many people drift into a deeply relaxed or dreamlike state during a sound bath, and some fall asleep completely. This is perfectly normal.
Whether you remain awake, meditate deeply or sleep, the experience can still be beneficial. Often, the body simply takes the rest it needs.
-
There is no right or wrong frequency. Some people attend weekly or monthly as part of their wellbeing routine, while others join whenever they feel called to slow down, rest and reconnect.
Listen to your body and choose a rhythm that feels supportive for you.
-
